Agriculture and Industrial Metering
Automatic meter readings for farms, plants and commercial sites
Meters on farms and industrial sites tend to be spread out, hard to reach and still read by hand. Smart Metering fits or connects meters that send their readings automatically, so you see daily water and power use for every supply in one place, without anyone walking out to read a meter.
We design each system around the site: new smart meters, or existing meters upgraded to report automatically, connected over cellular, NB-IoT or LoRaWAN depending on what suits the location.

New: cellular smart water meters
For remote meters and smaller sites, our cellular smart water meter sends a daily reading over the mobile network, with no gateway to install. One upfront price per meter, from NZ$395 + GST, includes setup, connectivity and 10 years of platform access.
Farms and irrigation
Some councils now want daily water take records, and a meter at the far end of the property still means a trip out, a reading on a notepad and a spreadsheet later. Missed or late readings turn into gaps in your records.
We fit a smart water meter, or connect your existing meter with a pulse unit, so readings arrive automatically on our platform every day. You get a daily record of water use ready for your council water take reporting, and you can spot unusual use without visiting the meter.

Case study: Parakai Birds
When Auckland Council moved from monthly to daily water readings, Parakai Birds needed a way to keep up without daily manual reads. We connected their existing water meter to our platform with an NB-IoT pulse device, so readings now arrive automatically and the farm can report to council on time. Read the Parakai Birds case study
Industrial and commercial sites
Large sites often have several supplies, sub-meters for different buildings or processes, and nobody with time to read them all. Leaks on cooling towers or irrigation lines can run for weeks, and sustainability reporting still depends on someone pulling numbers together by hand.
We meter water and power across the site, connecting existing meters where they can be read automatically and replacing them where they cannot. Daily data from every meter sits in one platform, with usage alerts when consumption moves outside the range you set, and data you can export for ESG and sustainability reporting or send to your own systems.

How it works
✅ Assess. We look at your meters, their sizes and locations, and how they can best be connected.
✅ Connect. We supply new smart meters or upgrade existing ones to report automatically, using the network that suits each location.
✅ Monitor. Daily readings, usage alerts and reports for every meter, in one online platform.
